Student Accounts Cal Vet Fee Waiver Information

Cal Vet Dependent Fee Waiver: Academic Year 2020-2021

To Obtain the Cal Vet Dependent Fee Waiver benefits at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo:

1. Contact your local County Veterans Service Office to apply.  Information can be found online at:

https://www.calvet.ca.gov/VetServices/Pages/College-Fee-Waiver.aspx

2. Once you receive the Authorization Letter from your County Veterans Service Office, forward the letter to the Center for Military-Connected Students at Cal Poly.

Please fill out the form on the following website and upload a pdf copy of the waiver to:

Please note the following:

1. The waiver is only valid for the Academic Year noted on the authorization letter. You must re-establish eligibility for each subsequent Academic Year you plan on attending Cal Poly.
2. The waiver cannot be applied retroactively to a prior Academic Year.
3. To receive waiver benefits, you must be classified as a California resident by Cal Poly’s Admissions Office.
4. Only the *Tuition fee* (formerly known as the State University Fee) portion of quarterly registration fees is waived. The student is required to pay all campus-based fees while attending the University.

(Waiver may not be applicable in Summer term.)
