New, Incoming Students!
Accepted students - tell us you are attending and start the process HERE
Although we are working remotely - we are here to help you! All incoming military-connected students, whether a veteran or the dependent of a veteran, should schedule an appointment to meet with the CMCS Lead Coordinator, Kari. In this appointment, we will talk about available benefits and resources, how to turn in forms, how to certify, how to apply, what benefits pay for and what they do not and anything else you might need to smooth your transition to Cal Poly.
TIMELINE (IF USING VA BENEFITS):
- Spring 2021 - Accept Offers, Attend CP Open House, apply for your benefits and let them know you've chosen a school/program on VA.Gov - request a Certificate of Eligibility
- Notify the CMCS that you are attending Cal Poly and schedule a New Student Appointment to talk about benefits and resources
- Summer 2021 - submit your Certificate of Eligibility from the VA to the CMCS
- Attend SLO Days
- Certify your classes once you are registered
